Strong, Oscar-Worthy Cast in David O. Russell’s “American Hustle”

Well, it looks like we have a David O. Russell crossover film:  The Fighter meets Silver Linings Playbook to create American Hustle.  To be clear, I mean the crossover of casts.

American Hustle is the fiction version of the FBI sting operation dealing with stolen property, Abcasm, resulting in the termination of [employment] six congressmen.  The movie is set in the late 1970’s/early 80’s.  Christian Bale will star as a former con man teaming up with lover Amy Adams and an FBI agent being played by Bradley Cooper.

Can’t handle the amazing cast?  Let me slip in this little detail:  JENNIFER LAWRENCE IS RETURNING TO THE BIG SCREEN!  Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.  [My girl-crush] Jennifer Lawrence will be playing Bale’s wife who is described as a “loose canon [of a] house wife” and is a huge threat to ruining the entire operation.

With the four mentioned all being nominated for Oscar’s and two of them winning (Bale for Best Supporting The Fighter and Lawrence for Best Actress Silver Linings Playbook), David O. Russell has another strong cast, adding Jeremy Renner into the mix and leaving audiences across the country with high expectations of their performances.  Surely, the cast can live up to them and possibly have some positive reviews before the December release at the end of this year.
